Part of our Operations team, Shinja has grown up in cities around the country and brings her diverse experiences and talents to Isprava. An avid reader, Catcher in the Rye and Norwegian Wood are her two favourite novels. We catch up with Shinja and chat a little bit about her and her time here with us.
Tell us a bit about yourself, how did you end up at Isprava?
I learnt about Isprava through Jai Hind College Placement Cell for the first time and decided to take a shot at it. Before Isprava, I had never thought I would end up working for a Luxury brand, but after meeting Nibhrant, I really wanted to work for the company.
What is your role here?
I work in Operations as a Senior Executive. My role involves coordinating with external stakeholders to ensure procurement is made in a timely and cost-effective manner without compromising the quality. I work closely with the Architects and Interior Designers along with the Operations Teams based in Goa and Coonoor alongside the Rental Team.
What is your favourite part of your role?
My favourite part of the role is interacting with amazing partners and learning about different businesses to see how they can optimise Isprava’s operating needs.
Tell us a little bit about the culture at the office?
Everyone is very friendly, highly energetic and respect each other equally. Nibhrant constantly tries to help each one of us grow and empowers us in our roles in the company.
Were you always inclined toward the luxury space? If so, how do you feel it evolving in India now?
I was always inclined towards the luxury space although my view on it has changed from what it used to be. Unlike the past, where luxury was about high social standing, now I feel it is more about having something priceless– Experience.
Are you more a beach person who loves the energy of Goa or the tranquil calm of the lush Nilgiris?
Cannot decide between the two, I want the best of both worlds!
What does luxury mean to Isprava?
Isprava believes in working hard towards curating guest experiences, fulfilling and not frivolous by making each space bespoke and unique as per the home owner’s taste.
