Interview with Soham Kapadia

Mr. Soham Kapadia

Soham was born and brought up in Bombay and has previously worked with Deloitte and Tranzmute Capital. He’s an entrepreneur at heart and has even started his own line of shirts called Equinox.

Why Isprava?

Tell us a bit about yourself, how did you end up at Isprava?
I started my career with Deloitte, then worked at Tranzmute Capital and then started my own business. Through this all I realised that I enjoyed working at a company that had a clear vision and one where I could wear multiple hats. Isprava seemed to tick all the checkboxes for me – right from the vision to the team to the role.

What is your role here?
I Head the Customer Relationship Team. Since the team is client facing and one that builds a connect with clients, my role here is a holistic one. We need to have a 360 degree understanding of the business from Finance to Construction, and that’s what makes this role so exciting.

What is your favourite part of your role?
My two favourite parts of my role are my awesome team & the opportunities to meet with a variety of interesting people from across India. Every day is a new learning opportunity whether it’s from my team, other departments at Isprava or client meetings.

Tell us a little bit about the culture at the office?
I think one of the main reasons for joining Isprava was the culture. We are very young team where all colleagues are friends. Since we follow a flat structure, everyone from the senior management down to the junior most person is open to helping each other and giving advice when needed. Everyone here is super driven and that encourages you to be the best you can be!

Were you always inclined toward the luxury space? If so, how do you feel it evolving in India now?
No I wasn’t. My previous roles were entirely finance focused. However, being exposed to the luxury segment in a dynamic market like India has been a great learning experience. The luxury space in India is constantly evolving, it is interesting to see how differently younger audiences perceive luxury versus the traditional definition of luxury. Luxury is no longer just product centric, customers are placing more importance now (more than ever) on the experience as well!

Are you more a beach person who loves the energy of Goa or the tranquil calm of the lush Nilgiris?
I’m always more inclined to beaches, so Goa it is!

What does luxury mean to Isprava?
I believe Isprava does a very good job of understanding, and executing the true meaning of luxury. From designing a home to the finishing touch, the kind of food our customers are served to the way the homes are managed. Isprava understands what luxury means to each client and goes out of their way to provide the same for them!
