Interview with Rhea Jaising

Rhea Jaising graduated from Babson College in 2012 where she studied Economics and Strategy. Although she was never seriously looking at the real estate space, the intersection of luxury, business and customer service at Isprava, and where the homes are located at, excited her. She has been with the company for four months now and continues to delight the team with her enthusiasm and energy.

Tell us a bit about yourself, how did you end up at Isprava?
To be honest, I had never really thought I would end up working for a real estate company. Immediately after meeting Rohit, Nibhrant and Ishaan, I already knew that this was the job I wanted. For me, the people and the scope to learn and grow are the two most important things in a company. After meeting with them I realized that it would be close to impossible to find a team that pushes each other so much, in a positive way while having bosses who are genuinely committed to your growth and development. They take the time to answer every silly question because they really care.

What is your role here?
I’m part of the sales team but at the same time, this being a fairly young company, I end up doing a little bit of everything – which is what I love! I get to learn something new every day.

What is your favourite part of your role?
Meeting and working with really amazing people.

Tell us a little bit about the culture at the office?
It’s a high energy, happy, and fun work space. It’s a perfect balance – you do your serious work, but have fun while doing it. Everyone here is relatively young, so we are always goofing around, but at the same time everyone is bursting with innovative and out-of- the box ideas. Everyone is treated equally here, I can talk to my bosses as I would my colleagues and have an
open and honest dialogue.

Were you always inclined toward the luxury space? If so, how do you feel it evolving in India now?
Luxury yes, but I never thought I’d be in real estate. I definitely do see a rise in the purchasing power here. Being away from home for four years has definitely made me realize that luxury in India is on a level of its own. In the past, people would buy holiday homes in small townships and hill stations near their city and would constantly have to worry about maintaining the home. Isprava has come in and disrupted this entire way of thinking. As a company, I believe we are the flagbearers of a new kind of luxury, we cater to every desire a homeowner could want from their holiday home.

Are you more a beach person who loves the energy of Goa or the tranquil calm of the lush Nilgiris?
I have always been more of a beach person, but after visiting the Nilgiris a few years ago, I feel like I am a mix of both – that place is stunning!

What does luxury mean to Isprava?
We offer you a lifestyle that’s stylish, efficient, relaxed with an undertone of glamor. Luxury for us is not only what we give you in a home, but also the entire seamless process – whether that means the heritage furniture and artefacts, the superbly trained staff or 24/7 maintenance that we offer.

Rapid Fire

What is the first thing you do in the morning?
Coffee for sure – I am not a functioning human without it!

What are three things we will find on your desk?
My laptop, my notebook, and either a hot cup of green tea or iced coffee

Vintage or modern?
Vintage furnishings but modern amenities.
